I was given a copy of the game “Wavelength” by Tryazon for my honest review. We played with my family of 2 adults and 2 teens, as well as at a game night where 10 adults and 3 other teens attended.
How do you play Wavelength?
You divide into two teams. We did older generation vs. younger and men vs. women. Then you alternate between teams as each person randomly spins the dail, choses a category and then gives a simple clue to help their team guess where the dial is pointed. The opposite team gets to guess if the correct answer is left or right of the first guest. You get points depending on how close your team is the the pointer.
Review of Wavelength?
At home, we played the game as 4 people and it was a lot of fun. My teenage boys really it. Then at game night we played with 10 adults and 3 other teens. The adults loved it and the teens thought it was funny to yell comments at us! The game is a lot of fun and depending on the clue giver and how well you know each other you can be spot on or waaayyyy off! One clue that everyone had a problem with was “normal to own vs. unusual to own.” The clue given was “refrigerator.” Both sides thought this is something that everyone owns, so the dial must be all the way to the left. When it was revealed, the target area was dead center and we all balked. The clue giver explained that there are areas throughout the world with no electricity, so a large portion of the world does not have refrigeration… ohkaaay! We heckled him for the rest of the game!
Everyone loved Wavelength. Michelle said her brother was telling her about playing it and their family loved it, too. Jen said she loved that Wavelength was all contained in one box and would be a great game to take camping. It would have been nice to have a discount code, because I think a lot of the guests would have purchased the game for their families. We were given a copy of “Spots” and I gave that game out as a door prize. Aaron’s family won it.
