I was given a copy of the game “Oh My Pigeons!” by Ravensburger for my honest review. We played with my family of 2 adults and 2 teens, as well as at a Tryazon Party Game Night where 10 adults attended. The party pack included:
- Oh My Pigeons! game
- Limited Edition Pigeon Plush Keychain
- Limited Edition Pigeon Enamel Pin
- Bonus Game: That’s Not a Hat: Pop Culture Edition
How do you play “Oh My Pigeons!”?
Because we had 10 people, we divided into 5 teams of 2. The maximum players allowed is 5, which isn’t the best for a party situation, but we made it work.
Everybody gets 3 pigeons to put on their bench and 3 cards. When it’s your turn, you choose one of your cards and follow the instructions. You keep going around the table until someone fills their bench. Each card gives you the possibility of gaining pigeons from either the flock or by stealing them from other players.
Review of “Oh My Pigeons!”
At home, we played the game as 4 people and it was a lot of fun. My teenage boys really liked it. It is a quick, easy game. We joked a lot and my youngest won quickly. There is some strategy in picking the cards that you will play and he did that really well.
At our game night party we played with 10 adults. We had a lot of fun, with a lot of trash talking about stealing people’s favorite pigeons. Traci thought it was a really fun, fast game. Ken thought it would be good for families with kids, and Mike loved how easy it was to learn.
We were also given a copy of “That’s Not A Hat.” We tried to play it as a family and found it very confusing. I looked at some instructions online, and it still seemed confusing, so we did not play it. I gave that game out as a door prize. Jen’s family won it.
